In less than two months, the country will again go the the polls to elect a new President. This particular one gives us reason to be genuinely anxious as we are about to experience fully automated elections for the first time. Despite controversies concerning the supplier, doubts on the poll body’s capability to oversee the process and confusion among the electorate about the modernized method of voting, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) nevertheless appears confident that it can carry out its task.
